Funds are invested and managed by a professional contracted firm. We do not consider suggestions for financial investments.

The investment fee is our annual fee, starting at 1.75%. No additional fees are charged for investment services, just once per year. Also note, our conservative investing has historically earned between 2-4%.

We send out quarterly statements and the first page of the statement, displays the gain and loss on your account. A positive number (or negative number) means your trust assets went up (or down) by the specified amount during the previous 3-month period.

It is a common misperception that nonprofits get all their money from donations. Like us, many nonprofits count on fees from client services to carry out their mission and deliver services – like how large institutions such as hospitals and universities charge fees for their services (tuition, charges for health care services, etc.). So, while we are a non-profit, revenue-generating activities are a critical component of the effort to build a sustainable nonprofit organization. The nature of our services can be set up today but it may take place in 10, 20 years, or even longer, and we have to be sustainable to achieve what we promise to our clients and beneficiaries.

Sometimes it can seem like a beneficiary is losing money because of their unique expenses. If there is no income coming into the Trust, and many disbursements – one could start to think they are losing money. Historically, our investments have seen a 2-4% return. Our investment activity is reviewed quarterly to maintain steady growth long-term. Our investment strategy is mid to long term focusing, so although each day, quarter, or year might be random, if we look at 5 or more years, our investment policy is expecting stable growth in the long run.
